It s a must to wait 3 weeks post install before you apply the marble sealer if testing shows the shower could be sealed. You should ideally wipe down your shower tiles a few times a week and dedicate one weekly session to a deeper clean. Wipe the entire surface including the marble shower walls marble seats and marble shower floors with a clean cloth. The one exception is when sealing a white marble shower like carrara marble.

Keep your marble tiles dry. Don t use soap as it is fat based and can cause the stone to darken. This is important for carrara marble because it contains iron and metallic deposits inside the stone. Marble shower and surround tiles can handle getting wet thanks to the surface seal.

Clean the marble with warm water and detergent. Be sure to cover the entire surface with the microfiber cloth and marble cleaner. To do this take a clean microfiber cloth wet it with warm water and systematically wipe the marble. Sealing a marble shower typically isn t necessary since the risk of staining is very low.

If you allow too much time to pass between bathroom cleaning sessions you will invite mildew soap scum and minerals to build up on your marble tiles. Wipe down the surface with warm water. Remember to clean frequently. 3 spray or wipe the surface down with clean water.

Switch out your cloth for a clean one when it gets dirty. Sealing marble showers is typically not recommended however for carrara marble it is a best practice. In most cases your daily cleaning won t require more than a simple wipe down with warm water.
