Consider adding a row of vip chairs near the carpet area.
Children sitting on a carpet.
With 20 30 kids together on the carpet this can equal lots of.
This holds especially true for children who are forced to sit hour after hour in the same seat taking notes or listening to a lecture.
Sitting still on a carpet is a task that many adults myself included would find very difficult so consider how long the children need to be sat for and how realistic it is to be expect them not to move.
Look for children who are showing good sitting and nominate them to sit on the vip chairs.
Right click the clip art image and select save as to save to your computer.
Do this by positioning five or six chairs in a row to one side of the carpet space or behind it.
Make sure everyone gets included in the rotation of sitting on the special chairs.
Teach them how to stay in that personal space without touching others.
I usually try to teach for 10 15 minutes from the carpet whole group have the students move about the room in some sort of cooperative learning activity to practice the concept return to the carpet to.
The whole class including those who can manage to sit still would benefit from moving their arms and stretching at least every 5 10 minutes.
To use for a print or scrapbooking project email etc.
Miss bindergarten this is about getting children to sit correctly on the carpet.
